Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (ABDIRA)
ABDIRA (Journal of Community Service): Journal of Community Service contains the results of community service and empowerment activities in the form of application of various fields of science including health, education, engineering, agriculture, agriculture, social humanities, computers, entrepreneurship and economics. This journal is published regularly twice a year in April and October. The purpose of this journal is to disseminate ideas and results of the dedication and research conducted by universities that can be applied in society. ABDIRA contains various activities carried out in handling and overcoming various problems that occur in society by applying science and technology which can then be useful for improving community welfare.

<![CDATA[This community service activity (PKM) aims to rectify misconceptions and procedural abilities of elementary school teachers in constructing the operation properties of addition and subtraction of integers, formulas of two-dimentional figures and three-dimetional figures. This activity is in form of training in the use of teaching aids to construct the properties of addition and subtraction of integers, the formula for the area of a plane and the formula for the volume of geometric figures for elementary school teachers in Kuantan Tengah District, Taluk Kuantan. There were 25 elementary school teacher participants who participated in this training. The training was held from August 14, 2021 to August 28, 2021. The training was carried out in two ways, namely offline meetings on August 14, 2021, followed by assignments and online meetings on August 28, 2021 via zoom. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in the ability to construct the basic principles of mathematics by the trainee teachers.]]>

<![CDATA[The era of globalization demands the role of teachers to adapt to the challenges that are not easy in teaching and fostering students who are their duties and responsibilities as educators. Tri Dharma of Higher Education as a guide for lecturers in carrying out their duties as educators. Community service, on this occasion carried out at SMK Tunas Muda Berkarya Batu Aji Batam. The purpose of service is to conduct training for Educators in Developing Effective Learning Patterns for students. The method we use is to give presentations and discussions for 1 hour and 30 minutes to educators and students so that we get input on appropriate learning for students and efficient methods in implementing learning to students. The results of the service concluded that the increasing understanding of teachers about effective learning patterns applied to students by combining offline and online learning and hubryd learning learning so that students become many alternative learning options that are not boring.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service is one of the activities in the community partnership program. The targets are people who are not economically productive, namely the students of the Qur'an Education Park/ TPQ Asy Syifa' Darussalam in Ringinarum District, Kendal Regency. The activity carried out in this community partnership program is to provide teaching about character education to children with video media. Animated videos were chosen as learning materials because children are usually more interested and easier to learn and understand something based on audio visuals. The study method on the results of this community service uses a qualitative descriptive study. The results of the activity showed that the children were quite enthusiastic in learning the material from the videos provided. The children looked more interactive in the discussion and question and answer (QA) sessions after the video screening and presentation of the material. They are also motivated to learn and practice moral values in their daily lives, so that the children not only will be able to learn religious education, but they will also have a good attitude and behavior.]]>

<![CDATA[This community service activity is packaged in the form of training and assistance in implementing a learning management system (LMS) for lecturers at Gajayana University, Malang. In the training session, the participants practiced directly how to implement an LMS from start to finish. Then continued mentoring and independent consultation by the companion team of the Information Technology Center (PTI). After the mentoring period is over, the LMS of the lecturers has been successfully filled and implemented in lectures. The end result of this community service activity is an increase in understanding and skills in the implementation of the learning management system (LMS) for lecturers and the achievement of learning content in the LMS that is ready to be used for the next semester's lectures.]]>

<![CDATA[Perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (IPTEK) telah membawa perubahan yang sangat pesat di dalam kehidupan manusia, tidak terkecuali di dalam dunia pendidikan. Begitu pula dengan seorang guru yang harus mampu mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi untuk menunjang ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran dengan maksimal. Tujuan program ini memberikan pelatihan terhadap guru terkait penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis webly untuk mendukung ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran secara efektif. Metode kegiatan yang dilaksanakan adalah pendekatan sosial kemasyarakatan yang dilakukan dengan tiga tahap, yaitu observasi, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pelatihan. Kegiata ini terdiri dari 4 pertemuan di Gedung Aula SMP Bhakti Tunas Harapan Magelang. Peserta merupakan seluruh guru yang mengajar di SMP Bhakti Tunas Harapan Magelang berjumlah 15 orang. Produk luaran yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini adalah media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis webly. Melalui kegiatan ini guru mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dari yang semula tidak tahu media webly menjadi tahu dan mengaplikasikan media webly sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif pada siswa.]]>

<![CDATA[Humbang Hasundutan Regency (Humbahas) is one of the areas in the province of North Sumatra which has a very large agricultural land. Changes in land use have given rise to a variety of new problems. Whereas agricultural development can be done through; intensification, extensification, diversification and rehabilitation in an integrated manner to increase farmers' income. If ecotourism is the management of nature and community culture that ensures sustainability and welfare, while conservation is an effort to maintain the continuity of the use of natural resources for the present and the future. Ecotourism will be an alternative system for the community to increase the potential of the land in their area. The purpose of holding this service activity is to change the mindset of the public humbahas about how to optimize land use so as to avoid polemics over land grabs. The method used to achieve this goal is to carry out several stages including surveys, socialization, procurement of tools and goods, technical training and assistance. The results of this service activity have changed the mindset of the Humbahas community for the better as evidenced by the maximum optimization of land.]]>

<![CDATA[Nursing documentation is the most important part of providing nursing care given by nurses to patients, especially for breast cancer. This community service activity is aimed at increasing the knowledge of nurses in providing nursing care and documenting by the guidelines from the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI), namely 3S: Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards (IDHS), Indonesian Nursing Outcomes Standards (SLKI) and Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI). ). This training is provided online, which begins with a pre-test, then lectures and discussion/problem-based solving followed by a post-test. Participants in this training were all student nurses and nurses with a total of 285 participants. The results of this training found an increase in knowledge of the application of the 3S covering signs and symptoms, diagnoses, interventions, and outcomes. It is hoped that from the results of this activity nurses have started to implement nursing care and document it using this 3S.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this community service activity is as a form to improve the community's economy during the COVID-19 pandemic by utilizing waste from papaya leaves. With this training in making scrubs, it is hoped that it can increase creativity and public awareness of the potential for waste around to be used as business opportunities, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic. Currently commercially available cosmetic formulations (exfoliants) for topical use are alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids and retinoids, which can cause adverse reactions. Therefore, it is necessary to use cosmetic ingredients consisting of effective and non-irritating exfoliants, one of which is the use of papaya leaves which are formulated as scrubs. The target of this activity is the residents of Mugirejo Village, Samarinda, East Kalimantan. Education and training on making scrubs went smoothly and without any problems. All residents followed the training process carefully and were very enthusiastic, as evidenced by the full attention of the residents until the end of the activity. Through representatives of community leaders, this activity is considered very useful and is expected to increase the potential for utilizing papaya leaf waste which can be used as a business opportunity.]]>

<![CDATA[The rapid development of technology requires mathematics teachers to master mathematical software applications. However, some mathematics teachers have not mastered technology in mathematics learning, especially mathematical software applications. The solution to this problem is organizing community service activities through mathematical software application training in mathematics learning. The community service activity uses training modules that provide detailed and complete explanations and examples presented excitingly, so the participants are not bored. A series of community service activities include materials delivery, training and mentoring, discussion, and evaluations. Mathematics teachers were actively involved during the activities to the end and evaluation. This community service activity aims to improve the quality of mathematics teachers in utilizing mathematical software applications in mathematics learning. The responses to the training activities were very positive, so it can be concluded that the training activities were carried out well and the achievements in accordance with the goals and targets specified.]]>
